About the Job:
Solutions Architects II are part of the Akamai Professional Services team and work directly with clients to deliver Akamai's solutions. You will be involved with projects from requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing and customer sign-off. You will work independently, within a small technical team, or with a global technical team in delivering the appropriate solution to Akamai's customers. You will plan, implement, test, and deploy Akamai platform configurations to integrate with customer web sites, develop and execute test cases and scripts for Akamai’s customers. You will be working with internal stakeholders, such as Sales Representatives, Project Managers, Technical Support, and Engineering.
You will beresponsible for:
Work as a member of a cross functionalproject team contributing to the technology-based solutions and consult onconcept feasibility.
Own the technical components of a customerintegration project including but not limited to configuration, debugging,documentation, testing, and go live support.
Integrate Akamai's Solutions includingDynamic Site Accelerator, Web Application Accelerator, Web ApplicationFirewall, Global Traffic Manager, EdgeComputing for Java, Electronic SoftwareDownloads, Download Manager and more.
Partner with Technical Project Management,Sales, Engineering, Product Development and Akatech (Customer Care) to resolveissues that arise during customer trials, integrations or post implementationsupport.
Accurately scope implementation timelines &effort for integrations.
Identify technical risks and providemitigation strategies.
Review configurations with other ProfessionalService team members to ensure quality and accuracy to requirements.
In addition, you will work together with Akamai’s Performance Engineers to apply customer testing requirements to individual performance tests and make test-level technical scoping and prioritization decisions. You will review analytics to help clients with performance improvement. You will contribute to technical repository assets and required documentation. You are expected to support production scale performance tests based on customer-defined requirements. You shall follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. You are expected to support creating test results report for customers.

The successful candidate will have:
University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Demonstrated ability to make appropriate scoping decisions
5+ years of work experience in the Performance Testing arena and/or consulting organization
2+ years software experience in a customer facing technical role
Knowledge in various operating systems: Linux and Windows are must
Experience with TCP/IP network debugging with tcpdump or similar.
The following abilities and skills will be considered an advantage:
Experience with data processing, Real Time Reporting and Analytics
Performance testing experience in e-commerce environments
Experience with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, Silk Performer or JMeter
Knowledge of TCP/IP networking (proxies, firewalls, etc.), and common web technologies (HTTP, REST, Web Services, XML, etc.)
Working knowledge of e-commerce web infrastructure components
Knowledge of testing methodologies and competitive testing tools
Knowledge of Network design, operation, and performance tuning
Knowledge of system performance analysis and capacity planning
